This standard is the authentic text of the international standard IEC 364-7-701-84 "Electrical installations of buildings. Part 7. Requirements for special installations. Section 701. Bathrooms and shower rooms. 4. First introduced. Introduction This standard is included in Part 7 of the State's standards for electrical installations of buildings developed on the basis of the standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC 364 "Electrical installations of buildings", regulating the requirements for the safe operation of electrical installations of buildings. Numbering sections and paragraphs in standard corresponds to the numbering adopted in IEC 364-7-701-84. Requirements of the standard complement, modify or supersede the requirements of individual state standards set 30331/GOST GOST R 50571 on electrical installations of buildings, as reflected in the notation of sections and paragraphs of the standard. Scope This standard establishes special requirements for electrical installations in bathrooms and shower facilities in the surrounding areas, where there is an increased risk of electrical shock people. General safety requirements - according to GOST R 50571.1 30331.1/GOST (Part 2). These requirements do not apply to a private shower stall, prefabricated with your shower tray and drain, with the exception of 701.53b. Note. BATHROOM AND SHOWER ROOM. 701.3. Common characteristics. 701.32. Classification of zones. The dimensions are measured in the light walls and fixed partitions (Figures 701A and 701V). 701.4. Security requirements. 701.41. Protection against electric shock. Note. Protect outlets - for 701.53a of this standard. 701.411.1.4.3. Not allowed protection by placing electrical equipment in a non-conductive areas (413.3 30331.3/GOST GOST R 50571.3) and the use of local bonding without the ground (413.4). 701.5. Selection and installation of electrical equipment. 701.51. General rules. 701.512.2. Electrical equipment should have at least the following level of protection: in the zone 0 - IRH7; Zone 1 - IRH5; Zone 2 - IRH4 (IRH5 - in the public baths) in zone 3 - IRH1 (IRH5 - in the public baths). 701.52. Wiring. 701.520.01. The requirements apply to the open wiring and concealed wiring (the depth of no more than 5 cm). 701.520.02. Wiring must have insulation that meets the requirements of 413.2 GOST30331.3/GOST P 50571.3, without any metal shell. Note. Such wiring may consist, for example, from single-core cables in an insulating sheath or multicore cables with an insulating sheath. 701.520.03. In zones 0, 1 and 2 should be only the wiring needed to power devices in these zones. 701.520.04. Junction boxes are not installed in zone 0, 1 and 2. 701.53. Distribution and control devices. a) In zones 0, 1 and 2, distribution and control devices are not installed. Note. Switches, actuated by the cord can be installed in Zones 1 and 2, provided that they comply with the requirements of GOST 7397.0. In zone 3 sockets can be installed if they are: individual or connected to separating the transformer in accordance with 413.5.1 30331.3/GOST GOST R 50571.3, or connected to a power supply system BSNN or ZSNN to 411.1 30331.3/GOST GOST R 50571.3, or protected by residual current device, which is responsive to differential current not exceeding 30 mA. b) All switches and sockets should be at least 0,60 m from the door in the shower stall, prefabricated (Figure 701S). 701.55. Other stationary electrical equipment. These requirements do not apply to electrical appliances if they are connected to a power supply system BSNN in accordance with the requirements of 411.1, 411.1.4.3 30331.3/GOST GOST R 50571.3, or the power supply system according ZSNN 411.1, 411.1.5.1, 411.1.5.2 GOST 30331.3 / GOST 50571.3. In the zone 0 shall be permitted only appliances designed for use in the bath. In Zone 1 can only be mounted heaters. In zone 2 can only be installed water heaters and lighting class II.
